Laughin the Flying Griffin is an aerial carousel-style ride located in Harvey Girls Wonder World at six 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios parks around the world. It is based on the Harvey Girls Forever episode, Dot's Entertainment". The original attraction opened at World of 20th Century Fox in October 2025, three months after the park opened. The four other versions of the attraction were opening-day attractions at their respective parks.

One griffin from the ride is in the collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., donated in 2028, on the occasion of Harvey Girls Forever's 10th anniversary.

Attraction[]

Based on the character from the Harvey Girls Forever series, the 16 ride vehicles each resemble Laughin, and are mounted on articulated armatures connected to a rotating hub. The passengers ride in the "Laughins" and can maneuver them up and down with a joystick that operates a hydraulic ram. The ride itself rotates counterclockwise at a constant rate.

A figure of Dot, currently voiced by Kelly McCreary,[2] rides atop the central hub. Originally at World of 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios Orlando, the figure held a training whip and stood on a disco ball. With the exception of Tokyo 20th Century Fox, she currently stands on a hot air balloon and holds the "magic feather". Starting in 2032, Universal Studios Orlando's Dot currently spins with his magic feather on top of the attraction's marquee.

Each of the parks, with the exception of 20th Century Fox Paris, has an extra Laughin vehicle located outside of the attraction to be used by guests for better photo opportunities. Tokyo 20th Century Fox photo spot differs from its three counterparts; the character is shown in his regular outfit from the original film, with a pink saddle blanket and Dot in his hat.

All of the Laughins, with the exception of the newer Laughin in 20th Century Fox Resort (which was added with the Harvey Girls Wonder World expansion), spin counterclockwise. The newer Laughin in 20th Century Fox Resort spins clockwise.[3]
