Plot[]

The film opens with Audrey, Dot and Lotta going to see a Horn-a-Corns movie in theaters. Than later they are sitting at their H.Q. thinking of how to improve the ecosystem. Dot gets the idea to give a speech about the environment. Meanwhile the Bloogey Boys are playing Truth or Dare and Melvin dares Pinkeye to skateboard around town naked. At first Pinkeye is hesitant until Melvin and Fredo call him chicken. Then Pinkeye takes off all his clothes and starts to skateboard around the town "Fourth Base" naked. He soon loses control on the skateboard and crashes into the window of a fast-food restaurant.

The police arrive and handcuff Pinkeye to a pole. Melvin comes over and Pinkeye tells the police that Melvin dared him to do it. But Melvin denies and the police leave Pinkeye stuck to the pole. Melvin gives Pinkeye his shirt, socks and shoes telling him he accidently dropped his pants on the way. Back at the Harvey Girl's HQ, Audrey and Lotta build a race car. Dot gives a presentation about recycling and the town agrees to stop polluting.

The next day, Lotta brings a giant 10000000000000000 pound tub of 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 recyclables in a cart to the recycling center, but she trips and knocks it down the hill. She chases after it but doesn't stop it in time for it to fall into the lake. The lake turns black and bubbly. A raccoon jumps into the lake and comes out with a million eyes and the tongue of a frog. Fireman Sam and Elvis Criddlington are putting out a fire and Elvis notices the raccoon. He and Sam take the raccoon back to the fire station with them.

Station Officer Steele isn't sure what to do until their junior member, Benedict Charlton tells them to conceal the town where Harvey Street is. With a giant glass dome, they conceal the town. Benedict announces that their lake is polluted, much to Dot's confusion. They kids become cooped up in the dome. Then while watching the news, the girls see a garbage crew pull Lotta's Recycle tub out of the lake. Audrey and Dot are shocked to discover it Lotta who polluted the lake.

They notice an angry mob outside their trailer, who pass right by them until Audrey accidently blurts out that they didn't even know where lived causing them to turn around and knock at their trailer, while a man sets up for a July 4 Fireworks Display that you will see at the end of the movie, but he sees that some rockets are wet. The trio flee from the HQ and take refuge in the Bloogey's treehouse.

The kids notice a sinkhole and jump into it to escape. They escape out of the dome and Dot says good-bye to Kenny, a boy she has fallen in love. The man then says "Didn't see it coming!", then continues to set up the Fireworks.

Meanwhile Benedict is furious that the kids have escaped. He orders the squad to hunt them down. The kids are in town and buying groceries. They sleep at a privet hotel and Dot tries to persuade Lotta to go back and apologize to the town, while a girl named Pinky Dinky Doo appears putting her story box in a burning trove. However, too afraid to face the town, Lotta declines, causing the rest of the gang to go back to town, abandoning her. Lotta feels terrible and decides to go back. She arrives just in time to save Audrey from falling off a cliff.

Audrey comes to Benedict's office and he tells her that they could have destroyed the town, but Audrey for her part watches the storm. Later, Lotta gets super excited that Pinky Dinky Doo is here. She will help them get the town to be saved.

Meanwhile, a party is thrown under the dome. Dot says she has to look in the recycling center, but is also counting down to the Fireworks, to look at the 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 recyclables. Kenny says she could but she has to be careful. Thankfully, she finds a pumpkin pie that is still 100% fresh. She calls everyone to enjoy the pie, and the men are finished setting up the Fireworks. One man says "Well, we've finished but, the 4th is only 2 days away." to another.

Then back in the Fire station, Lotta hears from Pinky that fixing the polluted town will take two days, which Audrey in turn says that the Fireworks Show is also happening in two days. They read several signs that help to clean up the town.

Pinky and Audrey look for information about cleaning up the town, until Elvis comes to them and tells them that they need something. Pinky then answers, but in return she does not know what word means the work done by people who work together as a team to do something, which Audrey in return replies that the word is, do do do do , "teamwork". And Pinky says to the viewers that it should be the Great Big Fancy Word in the movie. Lotta then appears to do the, do do do do , teamwork with the Harvey Girls. Audrey says that she prefers doing, do do do do , teamwork with Dot and Lotta.

Meanwhile on Harvey Street, the kids are still stuck in the dome. Frufru asks Bobby what will happen if the town is clean again, but Bobby in return does not know, when he got a call from the Harvey Girls that they are using, do do do do , teamwork to get it done.

Later, when Benedict is eating his lunch in the loft of the fire station, he witnesses the recyclables themselves, but initially keeps quiet about what he has seen, but appears to be bothered that of being Elvis, but rather than doing the good he intended it to do, Benedict's testimony leads to the suicide of Kenny and almost being killed by Bobby. Suddenly trucks dig Lotta's recyclable tub out of the lake and replace it with clean water. However, Benedict comes over mad with power and almost shoots Audrey and Lotta, before he is shot with a tranquillizer dart by Sam and Elvis.

Station Officer Steele relives Benedict Charlton of his duty at the fire station and the kids celebrate the fourth of july with a parade. Meanwhile Dot searches for Kenny. Bobby comes over and tells her Kenny's dead, to her horror. But then Kenny comes over and they go out for ice cream. Lotta feels proud to have helped the town. As the parade draws to a close, the girls think that they can remember Sam, Benedict, Elvis and Pinky. Audrey says that they will be alright, but they may try and meet them once again.

The movie ends with Benedict saying "Th-th-th-th-th-that's all, folks!" but Fireman Sam tells him that it should be in the public domain, and during the credits, A Heavy Metal version of the Fireman Sam Theme Song plays by Smash Mouth. In the mid credits scene, the kids sit on chairs and blankets, and the Harvey Girls watches the fireworks, oohing and aahing with everyone else. After the credits, it reveals that the kids were watching the whole thing in a theater and The Bow remarks that it seems like a foreshadowing to an apocalypses.

  • Dot's line toward the end, "You killed Kenny!" is infamous from South Park.
  • Richie Rich is absent from the film, which could mean this takes place in 2017, before they met him, in addition to the absence of The Banana Pepper Cheer Squad (Zoe, Maria and Stu).
  • Usually Pinky Dinky Doo sounds childish as voiced by India Ennenga, but for Harvey Street Kids as voiced by Sofia the Warrior, she sounds almost like Maria.
  • The Bow only speaks during the Post-credit scene. She also spoke during the introduction, which is a reference to Swiper's in the "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" movie.
  • When Audrey and Lotta are investigating the lake wondering what it will do to them, Audrey suggests it will turn her into a talking diesel engine, which is a reference to Audrey being voiced by Stephine Lemilin who voices Mavis the Diesel in The Adventures of James also by DreamWorks Animation Telivision.
  • This is the first theatrical DreamWorks film and first DreamWorks project to ever take place before and on a federal holiday. In this case it is 4th of July.
